Georgia Bird Watchers Field Trips

To be the largest state east of Mississippi and with the diversed topography, Georgia hosts abundant habitats for over 400 species of birds including common residents and migrants. There are four major geographic regions in Georgia, which are Mountain, Piedmont, Coastal Plain and Coast from the order of northwest direction to the southeast of the state. This useful interactive map will show readers all the upcoming bird watch field trips in Georgia. If you would like to go to a birding field trip in the areas other than your home town, I hope this map can guide you to the expert birders who lead the trips.

You can move the map up and down, right and left by dragging your PC mouse. Click on the green "bird" signs on the map, you will be directed to the calendar event. Most field trips are free to public and contact the trip leader in advance for the meet location and cancellations in case of the inclement weather. If you are in an adventurous mood, check out our neighbor state Florida Field Trips here. Why not schedule your next vacation with one of the local birding experts?

If you or someone you know lead a regular field trips, please contact me and I would be happy to add your schedule on map.

  1. "Why not schedule your next vacation with one of the local birding experts?" - Hmm. This is a good idea. But I need to have online travel insurance first before I decide to go there. Thanks for the suggestion.
